Grilled Cheese Studio is an audiovisual production company based in Barcelona founded by Gustavo Arens, Adolfo Bueno, and Adrián Egea, offering all types of productions as services: music videos, product photography, animation, and streaming, among others.
From the beginning, Grilled Cheese Studio rented audiovisual equipment from us, since we offer all types of equipment for rent, which allowed them to offer that variety of services to their clients with the peace of mind that they would find everything they needed at AVisual. Below is a short interview we conducted with one of its founders, Gustavo Arens.
Hello, I’m Gustavo Arens, I’m co-founder of Grilled Cheese Studio, an audiovisual production company that was born in Barcelona in 2015. What we were looking for initially was to offer specialized services in everything related to video, photography, and animation. And well, we love mixing techniques to achieve results that are, let’s say, “unique.”
Within the audiovisual spectrum, well, we carry out many projects including documentaries, product photography, music videos, corporate videos, we cover events, we do streaming. Let’s say we cover quite a broad audiovisual range.
What type of service were you looking for?
Due to the variety of projects we have and the fact that they are all quite different, because each project is its own particular world, and of course, at AVisual you get a bit of everything: cameras, lenses, lighting, even the studios now.
What would you highlight about AVisual’s service?
About AVisual’s service, I would especially highlight the human side of the team they have, it’s like a big family where when you arrive to rent, you really feel that people already know you and it’s very close and personal.
How has AVisual made your work easier?
Among AVisual’s services that we use the most or get the most benefit from is the transportation service, which solves many logistical issues for us since they can deliver the equipment and even pick it up.
Also, within the production models we set up, we often have to play with the number juggling, and through the website you can already get at least a fairly close idea of what the final budget would be. Check the equipment they have, see if it fits with the project you have; having weekend rates can fit very well into budgets, and this is part of what we also consider when presenting budgets to clients and especially when proposing shooting dates.
Have you seen an evolution in the service offered by AVisual?
The production company was born in 2015 and we have basically been renting from AVisual since that year. I remember when they first started, it was much smaller, they changed offices, then they opened Madrid,
the first office in Madrid, the second… and now they have the studios there. We have been able to witness AVisual’s growth closely over these years.
Would you recommend AVisual to other professionals in the sector?
We always recommend them because of the good service we have had and the good experience we have had throughout all these years.
